Can We Reverse The Effects of Climate Change?

God has gifted us with 6 senses. The 6th one is a bonus so that we can sense the trouble around us. The gut feeling we have which is hardly ever wrong. The hotter summers, more snowfall and rain, decrease snow cover, more natural disasters gives us a feeling that something is terribly wrong with our planet.

According to NASA, The concentration of CO2 (carbon-dioxide) in our atmosphere is the highest it has been in 3 million years. Seventeen of the eighteen warmest years

have occurred since 2000.11% of the world’s population is currently effected by climate change impacts such as floods, heatwaves, sea level rise etc.

There is no task bigger than protecting the climate of our planet for future generations to come. Here are few tips for everyone who wants to save our planet.

Grow More Plants

Deforestation accounts for about 15% of Global Carbon Emissions:

  • Plant more trees in your neighborhood

  • Keep indoor plants at home and offices

  • Go Green

Green Your Commute

To power our vehicles we burn fossil fuels that gives off CO2 emissions which is the leading cause of Global Warming.

  • Use public transport

  • Use bicycles to get around

  • Fly less

  • Switch to Hybrid or electric vehicle

Eat Well

Animal agriculture adds to greenhouse gasses (14% - 50%) of total global emissions.

  • Grow your own vegetables

  • Wasting food should not be an option

  • Reduce meat consumption

Reduce Paper Waste

The average office workers uses 10,000 sheets of paper every year. The paper and Pulp industry has generated more than 600 million tons CO2 emissions.

  • Go digital

  • Fax to email

  • Use online collaborative tools like Dropbox and Google Drive

Use Energy Wisely

Energy generation is the top cause for air pollution. The Industrial sector has to focus on this problem more.

  • Use solar panels

  • Switch to Led light bulbs

  • Unplug devices when you are done using them
